Private Training Ground

A Silver Donator perk: your own copy of the Training Grounds where you can borrow any gear that exists on dewataRO, set its refine, cards, enchants and grade exactly the way you want, and test it on the dummies before you spend a single Zeny crafting it.

Who can enter: two ways in.

  • Silver Donator and above, that is 1,000 Cash Points or more in lifetime donations. Access never expires.
  • Loyal players: play 20 hours in one week and the ground opens for you the following week.

The 20-hour route

Every Monday at 00:01 WIB the server looks at the week that just ended and opens the Private Training Ground for one week to every account that played 20 hours or more. Miss the mark and you simply try again the next week; reach it again and your access rolls on.

What counts as playing:

  • Time is counted per account, one minute at a time, while you are actually playing.
  • Away from the keyboard does not count. If you have done nothing for five minutes, the clock stops until you act again.
  • @autotrade does not count. A shop you sit behind yourself does count, the same rule the donation bonus uses.
  • A single day contributes at most 10 hours, so one long marathon cannot carry a whole week.

Ask the Training Instructor at any time: he tells you how many hours you have banked so far this week.

Getting in

Talk to the Training Instructor in the Prontera service plaza (prontera 163,178) and pick Enter Private Training Ground (the blue option). You land in a private copy of the Basic Training Ground with the full set of dummies, and a new Training Locker button appears on your screen. The button only exists inside the ground.

The Training Locker

Click the button and follow the wizard, one step at a time:

  1. Pick gear. The list holds every weapon and armor that can actually be obtained on this server: monster drops, map drops, quests, boxes, barters, reforms. Gear your character cannot wear is greyed out with the reason (job, class tier, level, gender). Tick off "Only what I can wear" to see everything anyway.
  2. Refine. Any level from +0 to +20.
  3. Cards. One step per real card slot, showing only cards that fit that gear. A one-slot weapon gets one card step, nothing more.
  4. Enchants. One step per enchant slot, showing only the enchants that gear can really take, including the upgraded tiers (Lv 1, Lv 2, Lv 3 where they exist). No gambling, you pick the result.
  5. Grade. Only for gear that can be graded on the live server.
  6. Review, then add the piece to your bucket.

Right-click any tile in the wizard to read the item, card or enchant description. Build as many pieces as you like, then press Equip all. Every piece is checked again by the server and worn straight away.

The rules of borrowed gear

Borrowed gear is marked [private] in its name, and it behaves differently from anything else you own:

  • It goes straight onto your body, never into your bag.
  • It cannot be taken off. Equip something else in that slot and the borrowed piece is gone.
  • It only exists inside the training ground. Leave in any way (the Leave button, the Training Ground Manager, the exit portals, logging out, a GM recall) and every borrowed piece disappears.
  • It can never be traded, stored, sold, mailed, dropped, upgraded or reformed. The Kafra and the card removers inside the ground are closed.
  • All normal equip rules still apply: a level 250 item needs level 250, a Knight will not be offered a bow.

Nothing you borrow ever leaves the ground. It is a fitting room for builds, not a source of items.

Handy details

  • The ground stays open for two hours per visit and closes after ten idle minutes. Just enter again from the Training Instructor.
  • The dummies respawn a few seconds after they die.
  • Return all in the locker header takes every borrowed piece off at once if you want a clean start.
  • Your bucket is remembered per character on that browser, so you can prepare a build outside and equip it the next time you enter.
