Leveling Guide 1–150
Leveling on DewataRO is fast. Rates are high and a single kill can award up to 100% of a level (that's the cap — one level per kill, per EXP source), so a good map choice matters more than squeezing out perfect EXP-per-hour math. Pick a map with dense spawns, mobs you can kill quickly, and just go.
The backbone of this guide is the Eden Group: from level 11 to 140 there is always an Eden quest for your bracket, and the kill-count turn-ins stack very nicely with the rates here. Do the quests before you grind the map, so the kills count.
A few server things that make this easier:
- Free gear at every tier. Every character gets an Adventurer's Gear Box the first time it levels up (Time Keeper armor set, Battle Manuals, Bubble Gums, Yggdrasil Berries, Fly Wings) plus a free class-line weapon at 1st/2nd job, a trans weapon after Rebirth, and a Mirage weapon at 3rd job. See Free Job Gear. Gear does NOT come from Eden here: your Time Keeper set already outclasses the old Eden equipment.
- The Warper NPC (prontera 159,192) teleports you to most towns, fields, and dungeons for free, Eden included.
@go <town>also works for towns. - Healer buffs are free in every town (Agi Up, Blessing, Assumptio and more, 20 minutes each). Rebuff before every trip.
Pop a Battle Manual from your gear box when you sit down for a real grinding session — with the rates here it's usually one session per bracket.
Getting to Eden and joining
Three ways in:
- Warper (prontera 159,192) → Special Areas → Eden Group Headquarters. Free, from anywhere.
- The Eden Teleport Officer standing in every major town, for example prontera 124,76, geffen 132,66, payon 177,111, aldebaran 133,119, izlude_in 68,162. Pick "Move to Eden Group".
- Your Eden Group Mark (see below): use it from your bag and you are warped straight into the headquarters. 20-minute cooldown, never consumed.
Joining (once per character): inside, talk to Secretary Lime Evenor at the reception desk (moc_para01 27,35) → Join the Eden Group. She hands you the Eden Group Mark. Membership is free and there is no level requirement. You need it for everything past level 99: the members-only door and the trainers behind it only talk to members.
Finding your way around the headquarters:
| Area | How to get there | What is there |
|---|---|---|
| Ground floor hall | you arrive here | Lime Evenor (join), the mission boards 11–85 along the north wall (36,38 to 44,38) |
| Second floor | the stairs at the south wall (48,16) | the 86–90 and 91–99 mission boards (48,175 and 48,177) |
| Members' wing (the blue door) | the door next to the boards (47,39), Lime Evenor lets members through | a lounge; from its north exit (100,27) you reach the training hall |
| Training hall | through the members' wing | the level 100–140 trainers: Gelkah, Rohtert, Mingmin, Aigu, Melody-Jack, Ragi |
Levels 1–15
You'll blow through this in minutes. There is no Eden board below 11, so grind first, then take the board.
- Training Grounds (Training Instructor, prontera 163,178) — dummies of every size and a Healer next door; or the classic Novice Training Grounds.
- Geffen Field 04 (Lunatic, Chonchon, Mandragora, Creamy) — Mandragoras are stationary so even a Mage farms them safely. Warper → Fields.
- Lasagna Field 01 (Eggring, Grass Fabre, Leaf Lunatic) — fantastic spawn rate; Eggrings die to anything.
Eden: at 11 take the Mission [11–25] board (moc_para01 36,38). The quest reward EXP alone carries this bracket. Note that this board does not pay you: when the kill count is done, report to Spike, the girl standing right below the board (34,36).
Levels 15–40
- Payon Cave 1 (Familiar, Skeleton, Poporing) — classic for a reason: tight corridors, dense spawns, all soft targets, and it's an Eden 11–25 quest zone. Warper → Dungeons → Payon Cave.
- Ant Hell 1 (Ant Egg, Familiar) — Ant Eggs never fight back, so any class can farm them with zero damage taken. Watch the aggressive Familiars.
- Orc Village — Geffen Field 10 (Orc Warrior, Orc Lady, Orc Baby) — very mobby, perfect once you have your first AoE; fire attacks shred. Steer clear of Orc Lord.
Eden: Mission [11–25] (36,38), then Mission [26–40] (38,38). The Orc kill counts overlap with your grinding here.
These two boards are the only ones in Eden that do not hand out the reward themselves: you report to a client NPC. On dewataRO every client stands right below their board (officially they are scattered across Geffen, the Morroc Ruins and Payon).
- 11–25: one mission at a time, each once a day. Report to Spike (34,36). Three missions also want items: Grasshopper's Leg ×10, Chrysalis ×10, Poison Spore ×5.
- 26–40: Hunting missions report to Sponiac (37,36). Delivery missions start at Dieshin Man (39,36), who hands you the package; you then carry it to the field NPC named in the quest (Zoologist southeast of Payon, Entomologist west of the Abbey, Biologist south of Lutie). Gathering missions report to Dashia (38,34).
Levels 40–70
- Orc Dungeon 1 (Orc Zombie, Orc Skeleton) — huge undead mobs made for AoE; holy or fire melts them. Warper → Dungeons → Orc Dungeon.
- Sograt Desert 16/17 (Sandman, Hode, Frilldora) — dense semi-aggro desert maps; the kills feed the Eden 56–70 turn-ins. Warper → Fields, southeast of Morroc.
- Sphinx 2 (Requiem, Zerom) — aggressive but fast-dying, great EXP density at the top of the bracket and it rolls straight into the Eden 71–85 targets.
Eden: Mission [41–55] (40,38), then Mission [56–70] (42,38). From here on every board pays out itself: click the 41–55 board again when the count is done, and for 56–70 open the same mission entry and pick Report the mission. Gear-wise you should still be wearing the Time Keeper set from your Adventurer's Gear Box on top of your free job weapon.
Don't outlevel your quests: the overlap trick
Every board and trainer only hands out quests inside its level window, but most of them still pay a finished quest after you've outgrown it. With the rates here you will ding past a bracket mid-hunt all the time, so work like this:
- The moment you reach the next bracket (86, 91, 100, 111, 121, 131), go back to Eden and take the new bracket's quests first, before you finish the old ones. If you don't, your level runs past that window too and the whole bracket is lost.
- Then go and finish the old kill counts.
- Only then talk to the old board or trainer to collect.
Example: you're 86 hunting Alarm and Bathory and you hit 91 halfway. Go take Stapo, Roween and Siroma from the 91–99 board, go back and finish Alarm and Bathory, then click the 86–90 board once per finished hunt. Same thing at 71 → 86: the second you're 86, grab Alarm and Bathory before finishing the Juno hunts.
What each one does once you are past its window:
| Board / trainer | Hands out at | After you outlevel it |
|---|---|---|
| Mission [71–85] | 71–85 | pays every finished hunt; unfinished ones stay in your log until you finish them |
| 86–90 and 91–99 boards | 86–90 / 91–99 | pays finished hunts, but cancels an unfinished one the moment you click the board. Finish every count before you touch it again |
| Gelkah | 100–110 | pays nothing and won't talk quests at all. Report every hunt before you hit 111 |
| Mingmin | 111–120 | "contract terminated": pays finished research, deletes unfinished |
| Aigu and Melody-Jack | 121–130 | pays finished hunts and searches, deletes unfinished |
| Ragi | 131–140 | pays finished stories, deletes unfinished |
Levels 70–99: the three boards
All three boards pay at the board itself and let you hold several hunts at once. On the 86–90 and 91–99 boards every hunt is 30 kills with a 3-hour cooldown before you can take the same one again.
71–85 → Mission [71–85] (ground floor, 44,38). Take the four Juno Area hunts: Grand Peco, Sleeper, Goat and Harpy, 20 kills each, 30,000 EXP each, the best-paying set on this board. Warper → Fields → Juno Field:
| Hunt | Best map |
|---|---|
| Sleeper (20) | Juno Field 2 (Kiel Hyre's Cottage), 185 of them; Juno Field 6 has 117 |
| Harpy (20) | Juno Field 3 (El Mes Plateau), 174; Juno Field 4, 133 |
| Goat (20) | Juno Field 11, 139; Juno Field 7 (El Mes Gorge), 90 |
| Grand Peco (20) | Juno Field 9, 182; Juno Field 8, 157 |
Juno Field 2 alone has Sleeper, Grand Peco and Harpy, so start there and finish Goat on Field 7 or 11.
86–90 → 86–90 board (2nd floor, 48,175). Take Alarm and Bathory:
| Hunt | Where |
|---|---|
| Alarm (30) | Clock Tower 3F (c_tower3), 109 of them. Warper → Dungeons → Clock Tower → Clock Tower 3 |
| Bathory (30) | Clock Tower Basement 4 (alde_dun04), 57. Warper → Dungeons → Clock Tower → Basement 4 |
91–99 → 91–99 board (2nd floor, 48,177). Take Stapo, Roween and Siroma:
| Hunt | Where |
|---|---|
| Stapo (30) | Veins Field 7 (ve_fild07), 128. Warper → Fields → Veins Field 7 |
| Roween (30) | Rachel Field 12 (Ida Plane, ra_fild12), 216. Warper → Fields → Rachel Field 12 |
| Siroma (30) | Ice Dungeon 1 (ice_dun01), 76. Warper → Dungeons → Ice Dungeon 1 |
Grinding spots between turn-ins: Clock Tower 1–2F (Clock, Punk, Rideword, also on the 71–85 board), Glast Heim Underprison (Injustice, Rybio, both on the 91–99 board) and Magma Dungeon 2 from ~92.
Levels 100–110: Gelkah and the Brigan test
You'll hit 3rd job around here — your free Mirage weapon arrives automatically at the job change, which is a big damage spike. Use it.
Eden: this is where the members' wing starts. Walk through the blue door next to the boards (47,39; only Eden members are let in), cross the lounge and take its north exit into the training hall. Talk to Gelkah (moc_para01 37,95), the Sura girl standing beside her master:
- Her first task is a test: bring 50 Brigan (a common 100% drop from Fabre, Thief Bug, Hornet, Argiope, Giant Spider, Killer Mantis and dozens of other low-level bugs and beasts; the Player Market usually has stacks). No Brigan, no quests.
- Once you pass, her Hunting Quests open up: 30 kills each, 550,000 base EXP plus a Kindness Pass per hunt (ten passes buy a story worth another 650,000+), 4-hour cooldown per hunt, several at once. Take these five:
| Hunt | Where |
|---|---|
| Desert Wolf (30) | Rachel Field 1 (Audumra Grass Land, ra_fild01), 145. Warper → Fields → Rachel Field 1 |
| Snowier (30) | Ice Dungeon 2 (ice_dun02), 70. Warper → Dungeons → Ice Dungeon 2 |
| Ice Titan (30) | Ice Dungeon 3 (ice_dun03), 70 (floor 2 only has 7). Warper → Dungeons → Ice Dungeon 3 |
| Nightmare Terror (30) | Magma Dungeon 2 (mag_dun02), 46. Warper → Dungeons → Magma Dungeon 2 |
| Flying Deleter (30) | Magma Dungeon 2, 38 of the flying kind; the ground Deleter does not count |
The rest of her list if you want more runs: Carat (Glast Heim Castle 1), Arclouze (Clock Tower B1), Anolian (GH Culvert 4), Sting (GH Culvert 3), Majoruros (GH Underground Cave 2), Pinguicula (Splendide Field 2), Luciola Vespa (Splendide Field 3), Loli Ruri (Niflheim Field 2), Medusa (Comodo West Cave), Anubis (Sphinx 4).
- Rohtert next to her (41,95) has the Tendrilion request for the same bracket.
- Report everything before 111. Gelkah stops paying the moment you are 111.
Other maps that line up: Juperos 1 (Venatu, all colors, for big-AoE classes; Warper → Dungeons → Juperos) and Rachel Sanctuary 1 (Vanberk, Isilla; bring demi-human reduction).
Levels 111–120: Mingmin
Eden: Mingmin (moc_para01 17,95, the Genetic girl at the west end of the training hall). Every research request is 700,000 base EXP with a 4-hour cooldown; her own list is the handy one:
| Request | Where |
|---|---|
| Ancient Mummy (30) | Pyramid B2 (moc_pryd06), 23. Warper → Dungeons → Pyramids → Basement 2 |
| Geffenia expedition (10 Incubus, 10 Succubus, 10 Violy) | Geffenia 1–4 (gefenia01–04); Violy is 30–42 per floor. Warper → Dungeons → Gefenia |
| Juperos survey (30 of each of three Venatu colors) | Juperos 1–2 (juperos_01/02), 65–70 of each. Warper → Dungeons → Juperos |
| Fragments and Rusty Screws (10 + 20) | drops from everything in Juperos |
She also has Glast Heim (Raydric, Khalitzburg, Wanderer: Chivalry 2), Thanatos Tower (Ancient Mimic, Death Word, Owl Baron) and Ash Vacuum (Dark Pinguicula, Nepenthes, Naga, Centipede Larva, Cornus) sets.
- Abyss Lake 1–2 (dragon mobs) — from ~111, big EXP per kill; boss-protocol reduction gear recommended. Warper → Dungeons → Abyss Lake.
- Sphinx 4–5 (Ancient Mummy, Anubis) — Anubis is still on Gelkah's list if you are not 111 yet.
Levels 121–130: Aigu and Melody-Jack, do all of it
Eden: two NPCs in the training hall share this bracket and send you to the same four areas, so pair them up: take Aigu's search and Melody-Jack's hunts for one area, do them in one trip, report both.
Aigu (17,77) runs the Trace of an Adventurer searches. Each is "walk to the spot, click the trace, come back", 4-hour cooldown, and pays big:
| Search | The trace | EXP |
|---|---|---|
| Thanatos Tower | talk to the Suspicious Monster on Thanatos Tower 6F (tha_t06 126,128; Warper → Dungeons → Thanatos Tower 6), it sends you up to the stairway; the trace is at thana_step 167,292 | 1,250,000 |
| Rachel Sanctuary | ra_san05 265,69 (Warper → Dungeons → Rachel Sanctuary 5) | 1,000,000 |
| Nameless Island | abbey02 155,290 (Warper → Dungeons → Cursed Abbey 2) | 900,000 |
| Abyss Lake | abyss_03 102,140 (Warper → Dungeons → Abyss Lakes 3) | 900,000 |
Melody-Jack (44,81, the guy in the dark outfit at the east side) has twelve hunts at 900,000 EXP each, 4-hour cooldown each:
| Hunt | Where |
|---|---|
| Baroness of Retribution, Lady Solace, Mistress of Shelter, Dame of Sentinel (30 each) | Thanatos Tower 11 and 12 (tha_t11: 60 Mistress, tha_t12: 39 Dame; every floor from 7 up has all four). Warper → Thanatos Tower 11 / 12 |
| Vanberk and Isilla (20 each) | Rachel Sanctuary 2 (ra_san02): 110 Isilla, 38 Vanberk |
| Hodremlin (30) | Rachel Sanctuary 3 (ra_san03), 86 |
| Agav and Echio (20 each) | Rachel Sanctuary 5 (ra_san05): 84 Agav, 31 Echio, same map as Aigu's trace |
| Ragged Zombie (30), Zombie Slaughter (30) | Cursed Abbey 2 (abbey02): 70 and 210, same map as Aigu's trace |
| Banshee (30) | Cursed Abbey 1 (abbey01), 96 |
| Ferus, 30 red and 30 green | Abyss Lake 1 (abyss_01): 30 + 55 |
| Acidus, 30 gold and 30 blue | Abyss Lake 3 (abyss_03): 60 + 10, same map as Aigu's trace; Abyss Lake 2 has the other mix |
- Bio Lab B2 (demi-human researchers) — from ~121, excellent density; bring demi-human reduction and respect the cloaked Eremes Guile. It is also Ragi's first story, so you will be back.
- Scaraba Hole (Antler Scaraba, Rake Scaraba) — from ~124; fire attacks, watch for Queen Scaraba. Ragi wants these too.
Levels 131–140: Ragi, do all of it
Eden: Ragi (41,76, the bard next to Melody-Jack) collects stories for a song: thirteen of them, 1,100,000 EXP each, 30 kills each, 4-hour cooldown:
| Story | Where |
|---|---|
| The story of the lost: Egnigem Cenia, Armeyer Dinze, Wickebine Tres, Kavach Icarus, Errende Ebecee, Laurell Weinder (30 each) | Bio Lab 2 (lhz_dun02), 50 of each. Warper → Dungeons → Bio Lab 2 |
| Story of devil: Angel, Black Nightmare and Ghost Incarnation of Morocc (30 each) | Sograt Desert 21 and 22, the Dimensional Rift (moc_fild21/22), 50–79 of each per map. Warper → Fields → Sograt Desert 21 |
| Story from far away: One-Horned and Two-Horned Scaraba (30 each) | Kamidal Tunnel (dic_dun01): 50 and 45. Warper → Dungeons → Scaraba Hole 1 |
| Story from far away: Antler and Rake Scaraba (30 each) | Scaraba Hall (dic_dun02): 50 and 45. Warper → Dungeons → Scaraba Hole 2 |
- Bio Lab B3 — if your gear can take it, the best EXP density of the bracket.
- Thor's Volcano 1–2 (Kasa, Salamander, Imp) — fire mobs, water attacks, wide corridors for AoE.
- Lasagna Dungeon 3 (Dragon's Lair) — from ~141, fire AoE cleans house. Warper → Dungeons → Lasagna Dungeon.
Levels 141 and up: Verus, then our endgame guides
Eden's trainers stop at 140. From 141 the next arc is Verus, the Episode 15.1 story chain. It is exactly the official one, so the iRO Wiki walkthrough applies step by step: To Phantasmagorika!. Start at the Verus Findspot (Warper → Towns → Verus Findspot) with Receptionist Nara at the excavation camp (verus04 182,168); the chain leads into Verus Central Square and the Verus dungeons (Warper → Dungeons → Verus Area), pays a lot of EXP and unlocks the Verus daily quests.
From 150 on, switch to our own guides below.
The base cap on DewataRO is 275 for every job, so 150 is the halfway mark, not the finish line. Here's where to point yourself next — each of these has its own guide:
