Job Master

The Job Master is the one NPC that handles every job change on DewataRO, from your first job all the way to 4th job, completely free of charge.

Where to Find Him

What He Does

Talk to him and he reads your current class, then shows only the changes you actually qualify for: 1st job, 2nd job, Rebirth, 3rd job, or 4th job (including the expanded lines like Ninja/Gunslinger, Kagerou/Oboro, Rebellion, Star Emperor/Soul Reaper, and Doram Summoner branches). Pick an option, confirm, and you're changed on the spot — no zeny cost.

Level Requirements

A few classes that can't rebirth (Star Gladiator, Soul Linker, and baby 2nd classes) get a lower 3rd-job gate of Base 99 / Job 50 instead, so they're never stuck waiting for Base 150.

Before You Talk to Him

• Dismount first. If you're riding a Peco Peco, mount, cart, or have your falcon out, he'll ask you to put it away before proceeding.
• Spend your skill points. He won't let you change class while you're still holding unused skill points — allocate them first.

Platinum Skills

Every successful job change automatically grants your Platinum Skills for that class — no separate quest or NPC needed.

Switching to Another Class Line

Picked the wrong path? The Job Master can move you to a different class line of the same tier, for free: for example Archer to Swordsman, or Ranger to Rune Knight.

What stays and what changes:

• Your Base level, Job level and job EXP stay.
• You are also too heavy to switch if your weight is at or above 40%: your new class may carry less than the old one.
• All skills are reset and the points are refunded, so you can build the new class.
• Your stats are not touched (use the Reset Girl if you want a stat reset too).
• The free job gear of your old line is taken back (weapons and headgear from the leveling grants). If you refined them or put cards in them, that is lost, so move anything valuable out first and keep any copies you bought yourself in storage.
• You then receive the free gear of your new line as usual.

Rules and requirements:

• Once every 3 days per character. After a switch that character is locked out for three days; the NPC shows the time left.
• Same tier only, normal classes only (Super Novice, Taekwon, Ninja, Gunslinger, Doram and Baby classes cannot use this).
• Dismount and put your falcon or warg away; rest your Homunculus.
• Merchant line: empty your cart completely before talking to him. A non-Merchant can never open that cart again, so he refuses while anything is inside.
• Only gear that is in your bag is taken back; if a gift is not in your bag, that tier's new-line gear is not given.
• Not available while the War of Emperium is running (anywhere on the server, not only inside castles), and not on PvP, GvG or Battleground maps.
• Relog once afterwards so everything refreshes cleanly.
