Castle Benefits (WoE)

Winning a castle in the War of Emperium is no longer just for bragging rights. A guild that holds a castle now earns real, ongoing rewards: bonus loot from the castle's daily treasure, and a daily Guild Voucher stipend for the guild.

DewataRO runs WoE Classic on a single castle:

Castle Map WoE session
Kriemhild prtg_cas01 every Saturday, 19:00–20:00 WIB

Whichever guild owns the castle collects its benefits, all week long.

September 2026: the three-castle rotation is over. Its last session was Sunday, August 30, and the Saturday-only schedule above is the one the community voted for. Swanhild and Gondul were retired on Friday, September 4: their flags, Bursars and benefits are gone and their entrances are closed. The stipend is one pool per guild, so a guild that still holds Kriemhild keeps its accrued pool and claims it there.

Treasure Loot

Once a day (around 07:00 WIB), the castle's treasure chests spawn inside its treasure room, exactly like on official servers. The difference here: when the guild that owns the castle breaks those chests, every chest drops bonus rewards on top of its normal contents.

Tier Chance Reward
Guaranteed every chest 10 Blue Gemstone · 20 Trap · 3–5 Dewata Coin
Uncommon ~1 in 5 1–2 Gold · 10 Activity Coin · 2 refine ore (Enriched or HD Elunium/Oridecon)
Rare ~1 in 1,000 a random wearable Costume Garment

Only the owning guild gets the bonus. If anyone else happens to break a chest, they get the chest's normal drop and nothing extra. The chests appear inside the treasure room, which only the castle holder can reach, so this naturally stays with the guild that earned it.

Daily Coin Stipend

Every day at the daily reset (midnight WIB), the castle sets aside 30 Guild Vouchers into the holding guild's stipend pool.

The pool is paid out in Guild Vouchers — a tradeable ticket worth exactly 1 Dewata Coin each. The Guild Leader claims them from the Guild Bursar inside the castle's treasure room — the same room where the treasure chests spawn, so you can loot the castle and collect the stipend in one trip. Members then redeem their share at the Voucher Exchange just outside, next to the Steward.

A few things to know:

  • Only the Guild Leader can claim, and they can take any part of the pool — the rest keeps waiting.
  • Distribution is a normal trade. Dewata Coin itself can never be traded, so the stipend comes as Guild Vouchers instead: the Guild Leader claims the pool, then hands vouchers to members like any other item.
  • Members redeem outside the castle vault. The Voucher Exchange stands next to the Steward at prtg_cas01 110,181, out in the castle proper — anyone holding a voucher can walk up and swap it 1:1 into Dewata Coin, no guild rank and no treasure-room access needed. (It used to stand beside the Bursar inside the vault, where only the Guild Leader could reach it; it was moved out on September 1 so the people the vouchers are meant for can actually use them.)
  • Vouchers move by direct trade only — no dropping, vending, mailing, auctioning, guild storage, or Player Market. Coins you farm yourself stay locked; only the castle's daily 30 ever circulates.
  • The pool keeps building until someone claims it, so you don't lose a day by forgetting.
  • Because the Bursar sits inside the treasure room, you need to hold the castle to reach them. If your guild loses the castle before claiming, the coins simply wait until you take it again. The Voucher Exchange is not restricted that way — vouchers already handed out stay redeemable even if the castle changes hands.

Siege Skill Note

Back Slide can now be used in WoE, Battlegrounds and WoE:TE — same as Snap, which was never blocked. Both skills stop at walls, so neither slips through castle barricades.

Coming Later

A "Lord of <castle>" title for members of the holding guild is planned for a future update.
